“Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O Lord, You preserve man and beast.” Psalms 36:5-6 NKJV
Last Saturday at our regular monthly meeting for The King’s Daughters we discussed the changing seasons of life. We kept returning to the faithfulness of God, who never changes.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 NKJV
God is eternal, never changing. Always faithful. Worthy of our trust.
We also talked a bit about the importance of unity to encourage each other. Learning from each other how to go through the changing seasons of life, studying His Word, trusting the One Who loves us.
Today we should pray that we will trust Jesus to lead us into the path He has for us. We can pray that we will be able to listen to mature believers, and also that we will grow in godly wisdom and in our love for Jesus and others.
“For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.” Psalms 36:9-10 NKJV
Ladies, if you are in our area and missed our discussion last Saturday, you have another opportunity next month. The weekend of September 13 and 14, we will continue this discussion as we go back to the basics and discuss our identity in Jesus. Catherine Harsono is returning to join us for our regular discussion on Saturday. Sunday she will speak at a mini retreat at Morningside Lutheran Church.
