“Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah” Psalms 24:6 HCSB
We had a great time in our meeting on Saturday discussing several scriptures and how God is leading each of us. I seem to be ‘stuck’ in Psalm 24, finding more precious nuggets of truth in it each day. Verse 6 reminds me of our talk Saturday, combined with things I’ve read this morning regarding spending time in God’s presence. Seeking His face.
“My beloved speaks and says to me: ‘Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away,’” Song of Solomon 2:10 ESV
Just that, come away. How do we hear His voice if we don’t stop to listen? One thing for sure that He wants us to know is His love for us.
“He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.” Song of Solomon 2:4 ESV
This is something we can meditate on! God wants us to know Him, to know His love, His plans for us!
“God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 HCSB
The God of the universe, living in us! It’s actually one of the first phrases I learned in Dutch when I lived in Amsterdam. It was repeated several times in one of our initial classes- Christus in jou, de hoop op heerlijkheid. (I hope I got that right!)
Repeated several times! It’s good to repeat God’s promises. To remember His love for us. Today we should pray that we will make time to come away with Him, to learn of Him, to know Jesus more, to trust Him more. Oh, how He loves us!
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10 ESV
