“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. (…) Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Psalms 8:1, 9 NIV
A Bible plan I read this morning spoke of connecting with God in nature. Pictures come to my mind of places when I have stood in awe of God’s power and creativity. The majestic Swiss Alps, the roar of the Pacific Ocean, a quiet pond encountered on a bicycle ride through the woods in Holland, or my own little garden.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalms 19:1 NIV
All things made carefully by design. Including us!
Today we should join with creation to praise God for His majesty and power. We should pray that He will have His rightful place in our lives as we surrender to His wisdom and His design for us.
“The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. (…) May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” Psalms 19:9-10, 14 NIV
