Different Today

Study from Colossians, chapter 2:
“And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive with Him and forgave us all our trespasses.” Verse 13

Once we were one way and now we are not. We’re different. We’ve gone from death to life.

“He erased the certificate of debt, with its obligations, that was against us and opposed to us, and has taken it out of the way by nailing it to the cross.” Verse 14

It cost Jesus His life. It sounds so clean and simple- we forget the agony of those last hours of Jesus before His final breath. This is what our new life cost the son of God.
But praise God, His death was not the end! He rose in victory over sin and death!

“He disarmed the rulers and authorities and disgraced them publicly; He triumphed over them by Him.” Verse 15

Today we should pray that we will live and walk in this victory today. When we have knelt in surrender to our victorious King, we too can walk in triumph over our enemy.
