“They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of Lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.” Revelation 17:14 ESV
Do we feel the tension? We are in a spiritual war. BUT it is already won! Jesus conquered the enemy by His death and resurrection! And now we’re still here. How do we live in that victory?
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Revelation 12:11 NIV
We keep our eyes on the prize! Yes, we look forward to heaven, but walking with Jesus, our victorious King right here, right now is also our prize.
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.” Revelation 7:9 NIV
Isn’t it breathtaking? All who have received God’s gift of salvation coming together to worship Him at His throne. I enjoyed my years of international living, learning other cultures. It was fascinating learning about the royals and the protocol for coming to an earthly throne. When we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, we will be together worshipping the Highest King of all!
“Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: ‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.’” Revelation 19:6-7 NIV
Today we should pray that we will be found ready and waiting.
