“May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!” Psalm 20:1 ESV
A blessing to begin this first day of the last month of this year. May God be our help, our fortress, our protection.
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Psalm 20:7 ESV
The world, as it always has, looks for hope. Who will save us from…you name your own fear. We all have something. Who/what do we trust?
“In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:4-5 ESV
Jesus, King of all creation, Ruler of everything, stepped into our little world. He wanted to show the way to the Father. He was willing to pay our ransom price. Shouldn’t that just take our breath away?!
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 ESV
Today, this first day of the last month of this year, we should thank God for the salvation Jesus purchased for us with His own blood. We should worship Him for the glory that is His! We should praise Him for the blessings He has given us. Then we can trust Him to be with us always as we bow in surrender to our Savior and our Sovereign King.
