Love

“‘A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.’” ‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭34‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This was a memory verse I recently turned into a ‘puzzle’. We had the opportunity to watch 3 young sisters for a few hours. I had to laugh when a quarrel erupted while they tried to arrange the words in the correct order. Kind of missing the point of the verse!
We discussed the words ‘command’ and ‘must’. The girls said that means you have to do it. And the fact that God is the One saying it makes it even more important.

What a precious time! What an opportunity!
In a Bible plan I read last week the question was raised about one’s calling in life. What has God called each person to do? Of course it’s very different for each person, but God does have something for all of us.

This coming Saturday we will discuss teaching and discipling/mentoring at our monthly meeting. We might be called to teach children. We might be called to work with adults. You may be in a space where you are the one being taught.
No matter what stage we are in, we can learn AND we are being watched. What are people seeing in us?

Today we should pray that what people see is that we are obedient to God’s command to love each other.

“‘If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.’” Mark‬ ‭9‬:‭42‬ ‭NIV‬‬
