New Life

“Then I looked. And there was a great multitude which no one could count, from all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands. They cried out with a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’” Revelation 7:9-10 MEV

This morning I read that the Hebrew word for Hebrew is ‘ivri ‘ and comes from the root word ‘avar’ which means to cross over. The Hebrews crossed over the Red Sea to flee Egypt. They crossed over the Jordan River to enter the promised land.

We also have crossed over from darkness to light, from death to life when we have crossed through our Messiah, Jesus! Praise God for our salvation that He purchased for us with His own blood!

This Friday The King’s Daughters plans to join with Bless Ministries to go to a local night club to reach out with them to the dancers. Our prayer is that God will go before us and with us as we reach out to the ladies in our little corner of the world. We pray that God will draw them to Himself so they’ll be able to stand with us and the multitudes in heaven throughout eternity!

And how about you? As you begin to read this blog, can you confidently say that you will be among the multitudes worshipping our King through all eternity?

This is the best place to begin!

We have all sinned. “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 ESV

We need a Savior. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 ESV

Jesus is that Savior. “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 ESV

Jesus offers this gift to us. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

Jesus accepts us into His family when we receive Him. “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 ESV

If you pray through these steps, welcome to the family of God! And now, let’s go on this journey of growth together!
