Our bridegroom King

“And they sang a new song: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slaughtered, and You redeemed people for God by Your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation.” Revelation 5:9 HCSB

I have fond memories of living in Amsterdam and Bangkok, worshipping Jesus with people from many different countries and cultures. It seemed like a foretaste of heaven. I think that’s a reason why I look forward to our next retreat on Sunday, November 10. We will be with ladies from different countries and cultures, who love Jesus.

“I continued watching in the night visions, and I saw One like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before Him. He was given authority to rule, and glory, and a kingdom; so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14 HCSB

At the retreat we plan to discuss Jesus’ return and how we can live and encourage one another while we obediently wait for our bridegroom King. He chose us! He loves us! And He is coming back for us! He paid a great price to make us His own!

“Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens, so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6-7 HCSB

Today we should pray that these truths will be firmly fixed in our minds and our hearts.
“This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.” Ephesians 6:13 HCSB
