Philippians 4:4-7 NIV
4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
Always? That’s what it says. And then repeated. Always. Rejoice in the Lord. Circumstances, situations change. Sometimes good, sometimes not so much. But God is good! Always.
5 “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.”
How are we perceived? If God is good and He is near, we can rest in Him. He is with us. Who, what can come against us?
6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
We are invited to bring our requests to God. Do we trust Him? The one who loves us so incredibly much? Then we can thank Him for bringing us through anything and everything!
7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
God didn’t promise us an easy life. But He did promise us Life with Him. He loves us. When we trust Him, we can walk in His peace.
Today we should ask Jesus, the Prince of Peace to guard our hearts and our minds. He is good and He loves us!
