Peace

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:” Philippians 4:11 NKJV

We had a great time of prayer and conversation last Saturday discussing how our King restores peace. I think of my mother when I read this verse in Philippians. Contentment, peace in our hearts no matter what. And we can have that when we’re trusting God. Our lives are in His hands, and He loves us!

The next time we meet our discussion will be about our King restoring purpose.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV

In figuring out our purpose, let’s start there. Putting God first. Seeking Him, His kingdom.
Where does He fit into our thinking and planning?

When we know Jesus, everything changes. We become heirs to a whole different kingdom. That should change every one of us!
Today we should pray that we will be changed to be more like Jesus, following after Him in every way.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” I Peter 2:9-10 NKJV
