Proclaim

“Those who have been replanted in the LORD’s house will spring up in the courtyards of our God. They will bear fruit even when old and gray; they will remain lush and fresh in order to proclaim: ‘The LORD is righteous. He’s my rock. There’s nothing unrighteous in him.’” Psalms‬ ‭92‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭CEB‬‬

Do you notice in the verse that it says ‘in order to proclaim’? We have been brought in to God’s family because He loves us. Yes. But also for a purpose. Not for our own selfish gain, but to proclaim our King! He is Lord, our Rock and our Righteousness!

“They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of Lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.” Revelation‬ ‭17‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This day will come, when all evil will be vanquished. We who are with Jesus are called (by Him, and He knows us by name), chosen, and we must remain faithful to Him.

Because we know these things to be true, for those who have repented (turned away from our sin and now walk with Jesus), we choose to put away the culture and ideas of the world so we can reframe our thinking to line up with God’s truth.

“The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Today we should pray that God will arm us with His Truth as we venture into a world that wants to make its own truth, based on lies whispered to it from the enemy.

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV
