“Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;” Revelation 19:7 ESV
We had a wonderful time at our Christmas party on Saturday. Our discussion group talked about how related are the manger, cross, and empty tomb. Then we talked about our access to our heavenly home. We discussed the transformation that is always current in us who surrender to Jesus. We are in the process of making ourselves ready for the wedding feast of the Lamb!
Next year our theme for discussions on the 2nd Saturday of each month will be how the King is equipping us to be ready for His return. We’re still here. But this is not our home. “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:20 ESV
What do we do while we’re here? How do we stand strong in this world? How are we reaching out to bring people with us?
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19 ESV
Have we done this? Are we currently making disciples? I’m excited to dive into these discussions next year! Our first one will be January 11 at 10:00.
Today we should pray that God will continue to cleanse and renew us and that we will allow Him to transform us into His image.
“that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:27 NKJV
