“Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.’” Psalms 16:1-2 NIV
Some mornings are relaxing, some are not. We go through times of, well, stuff. Issues. God’s Word anchors us. King David knew this.
“I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalms 16:7-8 NIV
What shakes us? Troubled times come to us all. But we can pull out these ‘fighter’ verses. We can say that with Jesus, Who won the victory, we will not be shaken.
Today let’s pray that we will truly know that Jesus is the anchor for our souls. He is our firm foundation, our place of refuge!
