“After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.’ But Abram said, ‘Sovereign Lord, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?’” Genesis 15:1-2 NIV
What would our reaction be if God came to us and spoke this promise to us? Would our response begin with ‘but’? Thanks but no thanks- what about this situation over here? Right?
We have this same promise from God, and so many more! He loves us! He provides for us. He is with us. He died and rose again to save us. He Himself is our reward.
Today we should thank Him for being our great reward. And then, because we can trust Him and His love for us, we can bring our cares, concerns, worries, and thanks to Jesus!
