“‘I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.’” John 10:14-15 NIV
How well do we know our Shepherd? Do we know, really know that He is good?
“I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed.” Psalms 34:4-5 HCSB
Do we search for God and love Him with our whole hearts, or do we go to church because it’s the thing to do?
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5 HCSB
God will be found by those who look for Him. He Himself is our reward! Not the things He can do for us, but God Himself. He loves us and we can trust Hum!
Today we should pray for a stronger trust in Jesus, a deeper love for Him. We should pray that in churches all over the world this weekend, Jesus will be exalted and worshipped above all else.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him!” Psalms 34:8 HCSB
