“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.” Psalm 92:1-3 ESV
Yesterday I woke up imagining all the ‘what if’s’ for the retreat we were about to have. I sensed God reminding me that we had the opportunity to declare God’s glory. To be encouragers.
And today? I am so thankful! It was amazing! I can almost imagine the Holy Spirit moving all over the rooms, blowing into the hearts and minds of all of us, bringing encouragement, hope, and life. I could see it in the eyes, tears, and smiles of the ladies we were serving.
Today I thank God for what He did yesterday to bring healing, hope, and encouragement to so many. And to all who did anything to help with this event, THANK YOU!! To Morningside Lutheran Church for having us there, THANK YOU!!
And now I pray for the ‘day after’ when people may already begin to doubt. God is always faithful!
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 ESV
“For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. How great are your works, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep!” Psalm 92:4-5 ESV
