Time

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV

Time. Intangible but very real. This passage in Ecclesiastes goes on to list several opposites. Time to mourn, time to rejoice, time to keep, time to throw away, etc.
My husband and I have recently gotten more involved with opposite spectrums of life. There are 6 very young children who have stolen our hearts. I cried on my way out the door as we left my mom at her new residence.

This is life. Always changing. We go from learning and imitating everything to being the ones others imitate.

“And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.” 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7  ESV

Today we should pray that God will help us to grow as believers into maturity so that our lives will be worth imitating! We should pray that we will, above all, be imitators of Jesus.
