“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 NKJV
How and when do we do this? How do we transform our lives? Is it immediate when we repent and surrender to Jesus? Is it a gradual conforming to what God wants? How do we know what God’s will is for us?
As I read through Exodus, I’m once again amazed at Pharaoh’s hard heart. (How did it get this way?) Moses asked him when he would like the plague of frogs stopped.
“So he [Pharaoh] said, ‘Tomorrow.’ And he [Moses] said, ‘Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.’” Exodus 8:10 NKJV
Basically, ‘let me sleep with the frogs one more night.’ Or in today’s world, let me lie in my sin just a while longer.
Today. We should pray that we will determine in our hearts to seek God’s face, to follow Jesus. That we may KNOW that there is NO ONE like the Lord our God. “For He says: ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.’ Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” II Corinthians 6:2 NKJV
