Transformed

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2 NLT

How are we being transformed? What does that mean? What were we, and what are we becoming?

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21 ESV

Paul had a radical transformation. One day he was a Christian-killer. Then Jesus called him and changed him.
In a Bible plan I read this morning, the author quoted this version of Paul’s writing:
“Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!” (Philippians 4:4-5)

I have not found what translation that is, but it’s intriguing. How can we live like this?

Today we should pray, as we remember God’s incredible love for us, that He will transform us into His likeness. We should pray that our lives will be a reflection of God working in us.

“For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 ESV
