Treasure

“Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.” Matthew 6:20 NLT

What are our treasures? What’s the only thing we’re able to bring to heaven with us? Isn’t it people?
How do we do that?

“for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10 NKJV

Jesus demonstrated to us a life of rescue. Reaching out to all. Touching the untouchable.  Changing lives. Rescuing from sickness, poverty, loneliness, death, hell.
What are we doing?
Are we not to be doing the same? Because of our own stories and testimonies, we can follow Jesus’ example right where we are. In the people in our lives, with the gifts and situations we have.

Today we should pray that we, who once were captive to sin and death, will follow the example Jesus gave us. We can pray that God will show us how He wants to use us to help rescue the people in our sphere of influence. We should pray for great ‘treasure’ in heaven!

“‘Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame, and gather those who were driven out; I will appoint them for praise and fame In every land where they were put to shame. At that time, I will bring you back, even at the time I gather you; For I will give you fame and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I return your captives before your eyes,’ says the Lord.” Zephaniah 3:19-20 NKJV
