“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 NIV
I’m trying very hard to not blame our cat Leo (the lion?) for waking me up at 3:30 for a cuddle. Then of course, my mind decided to take a deep dive into the land of What If.
How fitting, then was this verse this morning!
With the continuing remodel on our home, we have more big changes coming. I have sensed that there will be warfare involved. So we go back to Ephesians. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10 NIV
Today we must look to our Savior, our Protector, and ask Him to remind us that we are in a spiritual battle. The stress of the battle differs each day, but as believers in Jesus, we are ‘strangers’ in this land. We can ask Holy Spirit for guidance and protection. Then we need to trust Him and thank Him!
“I love you, Lord God, and you make me strong. You are my mighty rock, my fortress, my protector, the rock where I am safe, my shield, my powerful weapon, and my place of shelter.” Psalms 18:1-2 CEV
