“That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.’” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT
It’s hard to imagine what we can’t imagine. Artists, musicians, engineers can imagine, design, and create things, but they’re based on something – ideas or things learned. God created out of nothing. It’s hard for us to even wrap our minds around that!
And now, to imagine, like the verse says, what God has prepared for us. Past tense looking to the future.
“He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people for His own possession, eager to do good works.” Titus 2:14 HCSB
Do we believe this? Imagine God’s love for us. I can’t even come up with a proper adjective that does not fall short of describing His love. Unimaginable! The King of Glory, high above all heavens, Creator of all things loves us. Individually. Uniquely. He wants us in His family. Died to redeem us, save us from sin, from ourselves.
Today we should pray for the ability to even begin to grasp just how incredible and awesome this really is.
“For who has known the Lord’s mind, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16 HCSB
