“Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.” Proverbs 3:13-15 NIV
These verses have always intrigued me. Silver, gold, rubies- these are all valuable assets. God says that wisdom and understanding are more valuable. Once we have them, don’t let go!
“My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion;” Proverbs 3:21 NIV
“I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching.” Proverbs 4:2 NIV
Today, we should pray for God’s wisdom and understanding in the situations we currently face.
“Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.” 1 Timothy 4:13 NIV
