Victory!

“He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

This week we remember. All those years ago, people cheered and danced, singing praise to God. Less than a week later they yelled ‘crucify Him!’ and watched Jesus as He became the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

Praise God that His story did not end in the tomb! Jesus rose in victory!

Today we should pray that God will speak to us in the following verses. Let’s pray that He will remind us of the victory in which we too may live!

“I also saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, ‘Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?’ And I cried and cried because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or even to look in it. Then I saw One like a slaughtered lamb standing between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth. When He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slaughtered, and You redeemed people for God by Your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation. You made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth. Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and also of the living creatures and of the elders. Their number was countless thousands, plus thousands of thousands. They said with a loud voice: The Lamb who was slaughtered is worthy to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5‬:‭2‬, ‭4‬, ‭6‬, ‭8‬-‭12‬ ‭HCSB‬‬
