“Then the man brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. I looked, and the glory of the Lord filled His temple. And I fell facedown.” Ezekiel 44:4 HCSB
What happens to us when we see and recognize God’s glory? We worship Him. He changes us.
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light —” Ephesians 5:8 HCSB
Ezekiel was told to pay attention. Watch the comings in and goings out.
“The Lord said to me: ‘Son of man, pay attention; look with your eyes and listen with your ears to everything I tell you about all the statutes and laws of the Lord’s temple. Take careful note of the entrance of the temple along with all the exits of the sanctuary.’” Ezekiel 44:5 HCSB
Jesus came to make a way for us to have fellowship with the Father. To bring us into that holy place.
“Here is My Servant whom I have chosen, My beloved in whom My soul delights; I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations. (…) The nations will put their hope in His name.” Matthew 12:18, 21 HCSB
When we come to Jesus in repentance, we are called to walk with Him in a new sacrificial Life-giving, Light-bearing way.
“Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children. And walk in love, as the Messiah also loved us and gave Himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2 HCSB
Today we should pray that God will give us the strength that we need to walk with Him in all His ways.
“All bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Ephesians 4:31-32 HCSB
