What is in Your Hand?

“With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬

With God’s help we are bold! Do we feel bold? Maybe not so much. My days are pretty mundane. But I have people in my life facing critical situations. And then there are people I know overseas doing incredible feats for/with God.

“Elisha said to her, ‘What can I do for you? Tell me what you still have left in the house.’ She said, ‘Your servant has nothing at all in the house except a small jar of oil.’” ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭CEB‬‬

What do we have? What can God use? For this widow it was jar of oil. For Moses it was his staff.

“The LORD said to him, ‘What’s that in your hand?’ Moses replied, ‘A shepherd’s rod.’” Exodus‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭CEB‬‬

And then we encounter the disciples who walked with Jesus.

“Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, ‘Why could we not cast it out?’ So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’” Matthew‬ ‭17‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Today we should pray for eyes to see what God can do in our lives when we trust Him and make ourselves available for His use and glory.

“As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect.” Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭30‬-‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
